On November 1, CBS’ 60 Minutes featured smart firearms safety innovation, including our founder Ron Conway, and two of our leading grantees, Jonathan Mossberg and Tom Lynch.

Ron Conway sat down with Lesley Stahl in San Francisco to discuss the incredible potential for the smart firearms safety technology industry: “You cannot stop innovation. And this is an area where innovation is taking over.”

Jonathan Mossberg showed his groundbreaking token-access iGun technology in action. iGun is only activated to fire when the unique corresponding ring unlocks the firearm.

Safe Gun Technology CEO Tom Lynch demonstrated an AR-15 outfitted with his fingerprint-access retrofit kit, currently undergoing field-testing.

Also featured was footage of Sentinl CEO Omer Kiyani’s IDENTILOCK in action – this fingerprint-access trigger lock can secure virtually any handgun.
